At the 5 star Ile de Ré campsite, we welcome you to the WINCH, a gourmet restaurant offering a variety of Charente-Maritime products to enjoy during a tasty dinner of traditional cuisine.
We wish to inscribe the good living, the good eating, the good exchanging in a convivial restaurant for the residents of the campsite, but also opened on the outside with its large terrace.
A charming restaurant that symbolizes the art of living and the culinary traditions of the island of Ré and that offers a warm and refined cuisine: a chef who cooks regional products and makes us taste the oceanic flavors of the island.
Of course, the fish and seafood cooked by them, but also the oysters of the island of Ré which grow in the open sea and then matured in claires, directly from the producer to your plate.
But the WINCH is also a celebration of the island’s vegetables, especially the tasty potatoes and asparagus, which are combined with the wines of the Ré region and the pineau des Charentes.
The chef of our restaurant is not only the king of his kitchen and master of his wine list, he is also the familiar advisor of the events you wish to organize at the campsite, in their culinary expression.
A way of inviting the kitchen in all the moments of meeting and sharing, and of encouraging our holidaymakers to be even more creative in the preparation of their summer meals.
NB: Only dogs for handicapped persons are allowed in the restaurant.

After visiting the Vauban fortifications of Saint-Martin and the bell tower of Ars, after your kitesurfing or windsurfing lessons, you will have amply deserved a succulent meal. Come and eat on the outdoor terrace of the campsite restaurant for a lunch or a meal with desserts. With a bistro/brasserie feel, this restaurant offers salmon, fries, homemade burgers, quality meats and many other tasty dishes on the restaurant’s menu, a real treat for the taste buds.
In an intimate and friendly atmosphere, you will quickly realize that the restaurant’s terrace will be the scene of your projects for two, of your laughter with friends and of your good times shared with your family.
Surrounded by natural hedges, the terrace is very appreciable during the beautiful days, especially at nightfall. In the low season, we welcome you in the dining room to savor the local products
Taste the products of Charente-Maritime
On the land side and on the sea side, the island of Ré, and more generally the Charente-Maritime, can boast of its gastronomy. It is impossible to miss the oysters of Ré, especially after visiting an oyster farm. If you have a weakness for seafood, you will be served. Crab, shrimp, fish: you choose your dish and the wine from the nearby winery that goes with it. Remember to leave a little room for a cognac or a pineau-des-Charentes.
Other specialties of the region include potatoes from Rhaetia, which have an AOC, and goat’s cheese.
